Asian Regional Exchange for Clean Air
Last April 10, 2025, Elite Translations provided English–Mandarin simultaneous interpreting for a high-level knowledge exchange organized by Clean Air Asia Philippines and its China office. Held in Quezon City with the support of the Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Department, the event welcomed delegates from China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment and Peking University. It was part of the Asian Regional Exchange for Clean Air initiative, aimed at strengthening collaboration on air quality management and advancing regional research partnerships.
Discussions covered China’s experience in achieving cleaner air, practical countermeasures for pollution control, and strategies for long-term air quality improvement. The program also featured a site visit to the Quezon City Public Library’s rooftop, where a non-reference air quality monitoring sensor is installed—demonstrating the city’s commitment to science-based environmental solutions.
Afterwards, there was a site tour at the Manila Observatory where delegates got the chance to see PM2.5 samples from previous years on display. This provided more context and insight into the problem at hand and helped advance the discussion on where we currently stand in addressing this critical environmental issue.
Elite Translations played a key role in ensuring smooth and meaningful dialogue throughout the event. Delegates commended the interpreting service, with one noting that the language barrier “didn’t feel like a barrier at all” thanks to how seamless the conversations and knowledge sharing became. We are proud to support initiatives like this by delivering precise, culturally sensitive communication that connects experts across borders.
